Grammar Art show continues to be recognised as one of Toowoomba's signature events, attracting about 4000 people over the weekend of the show with tickets to the event selling out within minutes of going on sale. Artists exhibiting at the show are by invitation only and this year, I feel humbled to be invited (of course I said YEEEES).

I have three pieces in the show, all from my 'vessels of distinction' series. If you didn't manage to get tickets, there is also an online shop here.
Belco Arts Kaleidoscope LGBTQI+ Exhibition April 1-15 2022
Art Lover's Australia Collectors Edition Exhibition March-April 2022
I will be back at The Other Art Fair at Barangaroo in December. This is such a great event with so many amazing artists, entertainment, a DJ, bar, pop up events and entertainment. I have a whole new series (floriography - the secret language of flowers) to show including some of my large pure oil impastos.

Update: thank you to everyone who came and made this an amazing sell out show for me. I felt the love and loved chatting to each and every one of you. I was so pleased that so many of you wanted to know the stories interwoven through my pieces.

Summer Breeze Exhibition -Mist Gallery December 2021
A group exhibition at the wonderful Mist Gallery in Cabarita Beach in a bigger beautiful new gallery space. I love participating in exhibitions at Mist. Its such a beautiful gallery full of amazing work by incredible artists.

I have painted a large 1.85 metre by 94cm piece just for this exhibition. It is my idea of beautiful summer breezes - walking through the wild coastal banksia that grow prolifically in our area.

A very special exhibition for me - exhibiting in the beautiful Belconnen Arts Precinct in Canberra, this exhibition is about celebrating our LGBTQI+ pride and wonderful diverse communities. My piece - Pride, survived the devastating floods, was framed in time to make the exhibition by the local BlueBoy Studio in Mullumbimby and although it was flooded, Gareth made sure I could participate. This painting has always been a representation of the beautiful diverse LGBTQI+ communities and now, also represents resilience.

The exhibition kicks off on 1 April coinciding with the inaugural April Fools Drag Pageant featuring the amazing Queen Etcetera Etcetera. This will be a fabulous night.

I was so happy to receive news that I had made it into the finals for this award, an absolute highlight for me in 2021. The exhibition is on from the 30 October to 10 December in the beautiful Campbelltown Arts Centre. My piece is Dancing by the seat of our p(l)ants. This piece encourages the viewer to reflect on our planet so we can do some healing before it's too late.

Lethbridge Gallery Small Scale Art Award 2021 finalist exhibition - Paddington, Brisbane
I am delighted to a finalist in the Lethbridge Gallery 20000 Small Scale Art Award 2021. This is a group exhibition at Lethbridge Gallery 18 to 26 June 2021. I will be there on opening night 19 June from 5pm to 7pm. Come along and say hi.

I have two pieces accepted as finalists - 'the bots' and 'six days in a leaky boat'. Both pieces are very close to my heart reflecting on my brain when too many pages are left open and on respect, acknowledgement and experiences of displaced peoples and communities.

The Home Show Exhibition -Mist Gallery
I have several pieces in this exhibition that runs through February. This is a lovely new Gallery and well worth a look.
The Home Show (5 to 28 February 2021) is a collection of artworks that draws on the place we call home. From the functional pieces such as jugs and cups, to the bouquet of flowers that is bought to brighten the home. Artworks that reflect the daily scenes in the home, like the dinner table, the collection of fruit and vegetables just bought from the local farmers market, the cracked pot with weeds growing in the garden or the perfectly arranged console with the antique vase from Nan. A lamp glowing in the corner, a comfy chair or the combination of fantasy and reality that makes our hearts sing.
Whatever the scene is, The Home Show is who we are and the things that make our home a home. Artists were invited to create their own take on this theme and the result has been fascinating and eclectic.
